Over 5,000 houses throughout the Northside of Cork might be affected by water outages from 9pm tomorrow night time Irish Water has warned.
The shutdown is because of the second part of important works going down on the Outdated Youghal Street and the works will go proper via the night time – it could take a number of hours for provides to return and run clear after the water is switched again on.
Areas that shall be affected embody:
- Outdated Youghal Street
- The Glen
- St Lukes
- Ballyhooly Street
- Silversprings and Rathcooney
Pat Britton, Water Operations Lead for Irish Water, mentioned that “Irish Water understands the inconvenience when a deliberate outage happens and thanks clients for his or her endurance whereas we full these important work”
“There shall be site visitors administration in place on Outdated Youghal Street, however we hope it will trigger minimal impression to highway customers and residents.”
He added that “because the water provide returns, there could also be some non permanent discolouration of water and sometimes points akin to inner airlocks.”
